A friend's mother just passed away about a day ago. Although I'm not clear of the cause of death yet, I was told that she was coughing out blood some time ago but kept it to herself, etc etc. This friend of mine, I know her whole family because they are the ones I meet every Chinese New Year, we would spend nights gambling and drinking together. Her late mother, whom always compared me to her son since we were both born on the exact same day, used to tell her son what I'm successfully doing since he is always bumming around. That aside, I find her a very great mother figure to 3 beautiful children that she has brought up.

The eldest son of hers, bums around. The second one, a daughter, whom I'm very much closer with is probably the only hardworking one. The youngest, which I feel bad for her now, is still in her early days of high school. How would they feel after losing a mother who looked after them all their life, at only such a young age. Which brings to my point that nothing is this world is permanent, not even diamonds. My deepest condolence to her, Amitabha. And as the picture i posted says, we have to learn to let go of everything in this world, so pause yourselves for a second, breathe deep and let go of things. Happy good Friday and Easter.

Yes its been exactly 6 months since I last saw my family, my car, my best friends.
Been slacking this 6 months, so came up with resolution / pact to follow.

1 - 30 sit ups & 30 push ups a day (to get fit)

2 - Limit myself to 1 coffee a day

3 - Must do at least 1 solids & 1 thermofluid question a day

4 - In a month, only one alcohol session is allowed

5 - Still hold on to no smoking and gambling principle

6 - LESS SHOPPING!! (crucial, been shopping like a girl)

7 - Concentrate on Intelligent Transport Systems

8 - Weekends will be used for music

Last Saturday was the finale for Freedom Parties of 2010. If you missed out, too bad, it was one hell of a great party put together by hardworking organizers. On to the highlights...

DJ Droolotte Tasha
She's known as the Number 1 Bedroom DJ in the world, which won her a chance to spin alongside Paul Van Dyk in Ibiza recently. Genre : Progressive n Trance

DJ Fono
Any trancehead in Malaysia would know who to turn to for the best of Trance gigs. Previously a Heineken Thirst DJ Competition Champion, currently running the highly demanded Fired Up Fridays nights in Zouk Club KL, he rocked the warm up, period. Genre : Trance

And this was how people would queue up for FREEDOM events at all times.
It is REALLY something NOT to be MISSED!

Reality check, FREEDOM parties are top notch in Malaysia.

And we would never leave out the main stars of the night.
The Thrillseekers, supposed to have played for RECHARGE earlier this year, couldnt make it due to volcanic ashes interfering the flights. His LIVE XTREME set at FREEDOM proved to be highly skilled set, making up to all Malaysians the time he missed his gig.
Synaesthesia - one word to describe his set.

Last but not least, kudos to this particular man and also the booking management. Last minute Simon Patterson who originally was supposed to play for the night couldnt make it due to terrible weather conditions in the UK, making him miss his flight. Hence the artiste management guys pulled up an all nighter to fly Trent McDermott over to KL from Australia. Both parties did it, really well. DJ Trent was rocking his solid final set, giving all KL ravers a bang for their buck.

So that concludes the party of 2010, if you missed out, make sure you dont miss the 2011 ones then, or else you will regret for life. Freedom series of parties and raves are truly the top leveled ones in Malaysia. Credits to their photographers too, where I stole their pictures to be used.
Big up to FREEDOM, may you all bring us more FREEDOM parties with FREE FLOW alcohol!

2 Months on...

Mum, it's been a full 2 months since I arrived Coventry.
I can say I've fully fitted into the lifestyle here.
I can now finally cook my own 3 meals a day.
I can now finally do my own laundry.
I can now finally cleanup after myself.
On top of that, it's the first time ever I completed my homeworks on time.

Mum, I now know how much work you have to do everyday.
To run our chores, to clean up after us, to cook for us.
I hope you're glad that you no longer have to for me.
In few years time, I hope I will be the one doing everything for you.
I miss you Mum. I love you Mum.

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited by Advertlets blogger Jason Ong to head up north to Penang for D'Ultimate Birthday Bash by Digi

As we can see, bloggers invited included me, Michelle Lee (www.perfectionistarevealed.com), Jeremy aka Bboyrice (www.bboyriceakajeremy.blogspot.com).

Cuppacakes prepared for the birthday kids!

We were entertained by a couple of acts which included :
Magic and Illusion show

And then off we joined in the fun that was prepared for all attendees. I'd like to call it mini games challenge which included Archery, NERF gun target practice, Bowling and Arm Wrestling. Prizes for top scorers included an Ipad, a Blackberry and a HP printer for top 3..

I missed out on the arm wrestling because I forgot about it, but here's Jason (www.mynjayz.com) giving it a go, pawning his opponent

And there's me being Robin Hood for a moment, successfully achieving highest score in Archery & NERF gun target practice, but unfortunately wasnt enough to cover up for the mini game i missed. Nontheless i still ended up walking home non-empty-handed...

Despite not finishing up, I still managed to win consolation prize since my score came in 5th.
My prize included M2, PC.com and HOT magazine 1 year subsription, as well as a TimeOutKL full book of vouchers to be used. Thanks Digi!

Hence the end of my great Penang one night trip, many thanks to Digi and Advertlets for giving me this oppoturnity to attend this great bash.
